Benny Shen is an Associate Lecturer at AIBI and a PhD candidate at The University of Sydney Business School, where he is an active member of the China Studies Centre and Responsible Management Research Hub. His most recent research focuses on the strategic role of organisations when faced with social cohesion as a grand challenge.
Benny has extensive teaching experience across undergraduate and postgraduate studies in International Business, Marketing, and Strategy, and has received multiple teaching awards for his student-centric and creative approach. He has collaborated with major fashion and luxury brands on branding and digital strategy, bringing expertise in customer journey design, rebranding initiatives, and omni-channel development tailored to Gen Z audiences.
With a strong background in not-for-profit governance, Benny has contributed to a range of boards and advisory roles in higher education and public policy, including serving as Fellow of Senate at The University of Sydney. He was awarded The University of Sydney Alumni Award — The Convocation Medal — in recognition of his contributions to inclusive policy development and community engagement.
