MBA (Digital Transformation) -
Business Analytics Specialisation

What is the Business Analytics Specialisation?

The Business Analytics specialisation is proposed to strengthen the MBA (Digital Transformation) by developing graduates with advanced capabilities in data-driven decision-making, predictive analytics, business intelligence, and strategic problem solving. The specialisation equips students to transform organisational data into actionable insights that support innovation, operational performance, and strategic decision-making.

Business analytics has become a critical capability for organisations seeking to improve productivity, innovation, and evidence-based decision-making. Jobs and Skills Australia identifies technological change, digital capability, and data-driven decision-making as key drivers of Australia’s future workforce. The Australian Public Service Data and Digital Workforce Plan reports that 70% of APS agencies experience critical data skill shortages, and that employment for digital workers is projected to grow by up to 13.9% by 2030, reflecting increasing demand for professionals with strong analytical and digital capabilities.
