MBA (Digital Transformation) - Project Management Specialisation

What is the Project Management Specialisation?

The Project Management specialisation is proposed to strengthen the MBA (Digital Transformation) by developing graduates with advanced capabilities in project leadership, governance, portfolio management, and strategic project decision-making. The specialisation equips students to lead complex projects, manage stakeholders, govern project investments, and align project portfolios with organisational strategy to maximise business value.

Project management is recognised as a critical capability across virtually every industry. The Project Management Institute estimates the global economy will require approximately 25 million new project professionals by 2030, with employers needing to fill around 2.3 million project-oriented roles each year. In Australia, Jobs and Skills Australia identifies project management as a highly transferable capability, and Infrastructure Australia continues to identify shortages of project management professionals as a key workforce challenge affecting delivery of the national infrastructure pipeline.
